Fire-Rated, High Performance, and Wind Load Garage Doors

Feb 28, 2024

In the fast-paced world of commercial businesses, every aspect matters. From a customer's first impression to the functionality of your facilities, everything can impact your business's reputation and success. This is why it is crucial to invest in high-quality products, including your garage doors. Upgrading to fire-rated, high performance, and wind load garage doors can bring numerous benefits to your commercial business.

Upgrade for Safety: Fire-Rated Garage Doors

These doors are specially designed and tested to withstand high temperatures and prevent the spread of fire in the case of an emergency. They are made with fire-resistant materials, such as steel, aluminum, and glass, to provide a barrier against flames and smoke. This not only protects your business but also the people inside.

In the case of a fire, these doors can help contain the situation until firefighters arrive, giving them more time to save your property and potentially even lives. Additionally, having fire-rated garage doors installed can also help your business comply with fire safety regulations and codes, avoiding potential fines or legal issues.

Improved Performance: High Performance Garage Doors

In a commercial setting, every minute counts, and having garage doors that are not up to par can cause significant delays in operations. This is where high performance garage doors come in. These doors are built to withstand frequent use and heavy traffic, making them ideal for commercial businesses. They are also equipped with advanced features, such as fast opening and closing speeds, insulation options, and high-security locks that can enhance the functionality of your business.

Moreover, these doors are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and extreme temperatures, ensuring they will continue to perform at their best even in the toughest environments. This reliability can save your business time and money in the long run, making it a worthwhile investment.

Protection Against Wind Damage: Wind Load Garage Doors

When running a commercial business, protecting your property is essential, and this includes protecting it from potential wind damage. In areas prone to strong winds, standard garage doors may not provide adequate protection against the elements. Upgrading to wind load garage doors can help prevent damage to your business and its contents.

These doors are designed and tested to withstand wind speeds of up to 170 mph, making them suitable for even the most extreme weather conditions. They are also built with reinforced materials and advanced features, such as impact-resistant glazing, heavy-duty tracks, and bottom weather seals, to provide maximum protection against high winds.

Reputation and Credibility: The Benefits of Upgrading Your Garage Doors

Customers are more likely to trust and do business with a company that invests in safety measures and quality products. By having these upgraded doors installed, you are showing your commitment to providing a safe and reliable environment for both your customers and employees.

Furthermore, in the event of an emergency, having fire-rated doors can also demonstrate to potential customers and clients that you prioritize their safety. This can help build trust and a positive perception of your business, which can ultimately lead to increased customer loyalty and satisfaction.

Upgrading to fire-rated, high performance, and wind load garage doors can bring numerous benefits to your commercial business. Not only do they provide enhanced safety and protection against external elements, but they also improve the overall functionality of your facility.

Investing in these high-quality doors can also demonstrate your commitment to providing a safe and reliable environment for your customers and employees, ultimately enhancing your business's reputation and credibility. The purpose of a backup battery for your garage door opener is to allow for continued use in the event that the electricity that fuels the opener becomes inaccessible. The last thing you want during a power outage is to climb on top of your car with a flashlight and teach yourself how the machine operates in order to manually open it. Can you imagine being the only family in your neighborhood who can't flee the hurricane or tornado because you can't get your car out of the garage? Power Outage Your garage door opener is currently plugged into an electrical outlet or hard-wired into your home's grid. If the breaker trips, or if your neighbor hits a power pole again, a power outage could make it impossible to open your garage door without a battery backup. Bad Weather Storms can cause power outages and they make life difficult enough without trapping you in your home. There's never a convenient time for your garage door to stop functioning, but if you're planning to leave the house in a storm, you've got enough on your mind already. And after the storm, when everyone else is cleaning up and recovering, you don't need to be trapped, waiting for the power to be restored so you can get your garage door open. Emergency Power outages and bad weather can cause their own emergencies. It's true that you can manually open the door once you've looked over the mechanisms, but emergencies are unpredictable. Can you imagine breaking the arm that does the heavy lifting, only to discover that you can't bypass the garage door opener at the time you need it the most? Many newer garage door openers come with battery backups. It might sound like a frivolous novelty, but it can be extremely valuable in an emergency. Aftermarket battery backups are also available, and can be attached to your pre-existing garage door opener, as well. For more garage door information, contact the team at Town & Country Door today!
